Gel 100

By harnessing their patented Hydrogel Technology, Maurten has revolutionised the sports fuel industry. Hydrogels are three-dimensional networks of hydrophilic polymers known for their high water content and biocompatibility. The brand’s innovation utilises natural ingredients– alginate from seaweed and pectin (fruit fibre)– to create a unique hydrogel structure that encapsulates carbohydrates, the most efficient source of energy. This protective hydrogel structure effectively delivers salt and carbohydrates from the stomach to the intestines, where it dissolves, allowing for optimal nutrient absorption. Maurten’s Hydrogel Technology maximises carbohydrate availability while minimising the risk of gastrointestinal issues commonly associated with traditional sports fuels. Additionally, it avoids unnecessary additives such as colourants, preservatives, and artificial flavours, providing a purer and more effective solution for performance enhancement.

Maurten is dedicated to supporting athletes with a range of physical products and resources designed to unlock their full potential. Driven by the belief that greatness lies within everyone, the brand challenges conventional approaches to tackle the real issues hindering performance. Always putting athletes first, Maurten is committed to providing solutions that push the boundaries of what is possible.
